Eighteen happy DVCer’s met at the Sellersville Theater at 1:00 p.m. on January 19th. We took our seats, the show started and we were all quiet for almost 2 hours!! That doesn’t usually happen when we get together.
The show was terrific! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the big band music from the golden age of swing. The bandleader, Fred Radke, had loads of funny stories to tell about his days in the band from years ago.
After the show, Dick got a group picture in front of the theater. Then we invited everyone back to our house for food and refreshments. It was Jaimee’s birthday, so Tom led everyone in a rendition of “Happy Birthday.” Group singing lessons might be something we need to look into.
Everyone made it safely home before the snow got too deep.
Thank you to everyone who attended and made this a very memorable event.
