The Delaware Valley Classic MG Club visited Cooperstown, NY on October 11th through the 14th for its 2018 fall tour hosted by Jim and Diane Sanders.

MGs were conspicuous on the country roads of PA, NJ and NY, featuring the Suffredini’s driving their MGTD, Cawthornes and Pauls in their MGAs , and Ripperts and Sanders in their MGBs.

The trip began in Ottsville, PA and ended in Cooperstown, NY covering over 200 miles of country roads dissecting the Poconos and Catskills. On the trip up to Cooperstown, it rained hard at times after leaving Ottsville, and this continued along our route. We arrived safely at the Lake ‘N Pines motel on beautiful Otsega Lake. Perhaps some MGers got a bit wet, but the only MG difficulties along the way were a weak battery and a loose fan belt.

Our itinerary included visits to the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown, the Fennimore Museum, Fly Creek Cider Mill, Brewery Ommegang, and Council Rock Brewery. There was plenty of fun for all.

We had fair weather on our return trip to Ottsville along with excellent fall views of the landscape that were appreciated by drivers and passengers alike. Our MGs performed well on the challenging, but safe, mountain roads, with all of our DVC’s attendees returning safely.

Along for the ride were… Wolfgang and Gudi Fischer, David and Karen Paul, Pat and Patty Cawthorne, Bill and Evelin Webb, Dick and Sandy Suffredini, Tom and Jaimee Rippert, and Paul and Evonna Phillips.

If you missed this event, don’t forget to register for the next one!
